The first approach is good and I have used it previously. I experienced some issues with it down the road when it went beyond my team but other teams sharing the same component base. It is much easier having sort of like APIs in those building blocks and it is clear what you are importing and using and not have a Card wrapper that has image in it. At the end, maybe preference.

I love typescript as well and esbuild is great. I haven't played with it yet though.
